First week down...

I made it through my first week of classes! Yay :) They're not hard, its just hard to go Monday thru Friday, basically from 9:30 until 6:00 pm. And I hate walking in the cold, which makes it even harder to go! There are a lot more people doing the program than I had thought...probably like 20. So I've made a lot of new friends! I finally walked around town yesterday and took pictures!

Things I miss...

Okay, so I know I've only been here for 3 full days and I shouldn't be missing things already...but I can't help it. I miss my babies like crazy.

Here are some more things that I would love right now:

My family, of course--more than anything really

Warm, sunny weather

Big Red

To not have to go to class every single day until 6:00ish

Unlimited internet access

Naps

Ceiling fans

Heaters

Not living next to a busy street

Top Chef All-Stars

Jersey Shore

Bad Girls Club

Closet space

Water that doesn't smell, taste, and feel like it has a ton of chlorine in it

Country music...nobody in Italy understands what it is

Hmm...I guess that's about it.

Finally getting settled in...

So...I love Florence! I'm still super jet-lagged and it is FREEZING here...but it really is amazing :) My school keeps us there all day...literally until 5:30 or 6:00, so I haven't really had time to do much sight-seeing, I'll have to save that for the weekends. But I love just walking the streets! I could seriously do it all day, even in the cold. All of the buildings are beautiful, and there are tons and tons of shops! Here are some pictures of my apartment! Its kind of bare..but it's good enough!

12 days :)

I can't believe I'M MOVING TO ITALY IN 12 DAYS! It's crazy. I still have so many things I need to get...and I don't even want to start thinking about packing! Other than that, I am so ready to go :)

I'm starting this blog so thats everybody back home can live vicariously through me (ha!) and really just get a glimpse of everything that I'm experiencing along the way.
